Not Everyone Wears a Uniform

This group plans 30-45  minute activities for our monthly pack meetings.  Past activities have included: a pumpkin carving contest, guest speakers, craft stations and the Advancement ceremony. 

Dues only cover part of the costs of awards and recognition, crafts, and special events.  We try to offer opportunities to conduct fundraisers to offset these costs. Past fundraisers have included selling popcorn, chocolate bars, pancake breakfasts, and more. 

In the Raingutter Regatta, sailboats are raced down a length of water-filled rain gutters, powered by the Cub Scout blowing into the sail through a soda straw. 

Plan and organize opportunities for the scouts to be out in the local community.  Past events included ringing bells with the Salvation Army at Tops, singing carols at Brookdale,  Earth Day clean up and more. 

Held once a year in February, this where we celebrate the birthday of Cub Scouts. Spaghetti dinners, pancake breakfasts and movie nights have been hosted in prior years. 

Held each spring, Scouts receive an official  kit to build their own pinewood derby car to be raced on the big day. Includes setting up the race track and running the race.  

Let's get outdoors! Plan for spring and fall family camping events at local campgrounds, parks and Boy Scout facilities. 

Lead hikes five times a year at local parks and nature centers.
